I just switched from an att landline (and um, unified messaging) to a uverse telephone line. Doest att pay the cruise lines to use their on board sat system for calls? I can get probably all that i need from att for $100. I also get the free 90 minutes of elite wifi, and so does my wife. Or, is that just the charge att would issue, and royal would add. We used to always get the att&t cruise pkg. Far superior overall service for world travelers. On other ocean cruises, we all usually turn on airplane mode, & a few will pay for the cruise ship's wifi.

From what i can tell the ships internet access is over $300 so we definitely aren't doing that 🙂 just wondered if there was a cheaper way than spending $50 for at&t plan.
